Purpose: To find the acceleration due to gravity (g) by using initial and final values, and by using time of fall. Theory Part1: In the first part of this lab, times will be taken as an object drops from one time sensor to another time sensor. These times are represented by t1 and t2. By knowing the length of (x) of the object that falls through the sensors, the velocities (v) at each sensor can be calculated by using the formula: v = x/t The distance (d) between the sensors must be measured.
