Jim Morrison was like no other he was very intelligent and was a great writer and singer he acheived alot in his lifespan, his death came as a huge surprise to all of us. ... " Lets go back Jim was born in Melbourne, Florida on December 8, 1943 to Clara and Steve Morrison. Jim also had 2 other siblings his brother Andy and his sister Anne. ... S navy admiral they moved from Florida, to New Mexico and eventually to Alexandria,Virginia in 1958 this is the age when he picked up writing, he was in love with poetry writing he was also an avid reader, he had inspiration from these authors Nietzsche, Plutarch, Ginsberg, Michael McClure, James T Farrell,and most of all Arthur Rimbaud whom Jim also later wrote a song about entitled wild child. Jim was very intelligent and accelled in school he went to the university of California to study theater arts he graduates and gets his bacherlor degree in 1965. And shortly thereafter Jim Morrison met up with 3 amazing men who were very good artists, Ray Manzurek, John Densmore, and Robby Kariger, and from there the doors were open just as they named their group, they took their name from a poep by William Blake " If the doors of perception were cleansed, all things would appear infinite" what an insight to Jims whole life he was searching for the infinite.
