Compare and Contrast Paragraph
Why I am Awe
The feeling of awe is similar to fear. ... A feeling of awe is not a bad feeling but a good feeling.
But awe is a positive feeling, an expansive feeling. While fear makes us want to run away, awe makes us want to draw closer even as we hesitate to get to close. When we are in awe, we stand openmouthed in appreciation of something greater than ourselves rather than being anxious about it. ... In contrast, to stand securely on a mountaintop and look around us is to feel awe. ...
I would much rather have awe than fear. I don’t like to run from my feelings if I do what’s the point in even having feelings.
