COPENHAGEN, Denmark -- Denmark has asked that its Davis Cup matches in Algeria next month be moved to a neutral venue because of fears of terrorism. Niels Persson, manager of the Danish Tennis Federation, cited warnings by Denmark's Foreign Ministry advising against all unnecessary travel to the North African country. "There is a certain risk of traveling to Algeria," Persson said Wednesday. The Danes are to play in an Europe/Africa Zone Group II first-round series April 9-11. The Danish federation is in talks with the International Tennis Federation. If no other venue is found, Denmark most likely will lose the series by a walkover or be relegated, Persson said.
