This story of an elderly couple that goes to visit their children in Tokyo has many themes and patterns that can be seen in society today. ... However, the spa is not all it was supposed to be, and because of a lack of rest, the couple returns to Tokyo, and plans to head back to Onomochi the next day. But upon returning to Tokyo, none of their children have a place for them to stay. ... Tokyo Story is considered his greatest work, and it is easy to see why.
