In Paublo Neruda’s sonnet, Sonnet 89, he expresses his deep love for his wife by using many literary techniques such as tone, repetition, and sensory words. This sonnet is also arranged quite differently than how a traditional sonnet is, and that is what makes it more of a modern day poem.
