California is a state on the west coast of the United States of America that is well known for its movie stars, beaches, deserts, mountains, vineyards, and of course it’s earthquakes. ... We will also go into the things that can result from earthquakes, and what geologists and seismologists have done to make help provide foresight and assistance to people effected by earthquakes. ... Now we will look into why there are always earthquakes in California. Since earthquakes are caused by the slipping or breaking between plates, it is obvious that most, if not all earthquakes occur along the boundaries of these plates. If you look at the map given of the plates of the earth you can clearly see the reason why California has earthquakes all the time. ...
