Presentation Australian Natural History Safari is owned and operated by locally born naturalists and wildlife enthusiasts David and Diane Armbrust. In 1993 they perceived in the Port Douglas area the lack of a small discrete local day safari which could deliver a quality ecotourism experience to discerning visitors in both comfort and privacy. Their twenty-two years in nature based tourism and a lifetime in this area has provided them with a wealth of knowledge and experience in their local eco-systems and wildlife. In this time they have also gained a huge respect and appreciation for the delicate balance of Australia's fragile ecology. Destination This operator has the particularity to offer only two types of trip in the city of Port Douglas with the aim to immerse customers in the wildlife of Australia: - A one day trip - A half day trip Australian Natural History Safari is a Port Douglas based, four-wheel drive, rainforest and outback experience.
