I dont have an essay. In Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun Walter Lee learns an important lesson about fighting with dignity instead of surrendering in shame. Walter was the offspring of many generations who had a great deal of pride and dignity. His mother, Lena, was certain to remind him of this, and encouraged him to follow in their footsteps. Throughout Walter’s encounters with a number set backs and dilemmas, he struggled to realize the importance of his pride and dignity, but with the help of his mother he was able to endure and overcome his battle with his pride. Mama loved her son, and wanted only for him to be happy.
