There are many differences and similarities between acoelomates and coelomates. Acoelomates and coelomates have a digestive cavity, which has advantages over the gastrovascular cavity, a primitive digestive system. In connection, coelomates have a complete digestive system, while acoelomates have an incomplete digestive system. Also, acoelomates lack a body cavity between the digestive cavity and the outer body wall where as coelomates have a body cavity completely lined by mesoderm tissue, also known as a coelom. Protostomes and deuterostomes also have many differences and similarities. Protostomes and deuterostomes are two different methods of changes in the embryo of which different phyla are formed in the kingdom known as Anamilia.
