Smoking has been a big deal to society for the past decade. Adolescents have been prone to smoking as a so-called “cool image.” Therefore, teen smoking has been increasing and is more popular with those kids that feel like they need to fit in some way. Also the movies is another place that teens are getting the idea that smoking is “cool,” such as in the article, “Hollywood No Help On Teen Smoking,” by: Lauralee Brown. This article shows how the screenwriters to movies promote smoking toward teenagers and if it should even be allowed in movies that are not R-rated.
