JACKSON, Miss. - Mississippi Democrats found that presumptive presidential nominee John Kerry shares their values and their anger at the Bush administration. An exit poll by The Associated Press followed trends in the three other Tuesday primary states - Louisiana, Texas and Florida. The voters in the four primaries were older and more liberal than those from earlier Southern contests and were eager to see U.S. troops brought home from Iraq. Three quarters of voters in Mississippi on Tuesday cast ballots for Kerry, the Massachusetts senator and only major candidate remaining for the Democratic nomination. The poll of 823 Mississippi voters was conducted for AP and television networks by Edison Media Research and Mitofsky International. Results were subject to sampling error of plus or minus 5 percentage points, higher for subgroups.
