The word comes from the ‘circa’ and ‘dies’ meaning around the day. This is largely associated with the sleep/wake cycle; however it can be associated with body temperature. They are controlled by activating neurotransmitters. Endogenous Influences are: (2 Marks) These are influences that are caused internally; this is completely the opposite of exogenous. They have no influence from the surroundings. Exogenous influences are: (2 Marks) These are influences that are caused externally, hence Ex. This is the complete opposite of endogenous and is solely caused by the things around us.
