Is it possible to be better off without your father in your life? After reading “Teaching Young Fathers The Ropes” by Sophfronia Scott Gregory, I began to examine the role my father played in my life. I also examined a few other fathers and their roles, as well. ... There are fathers that abuse their children and refuse to recognize that they have problems. These fathers do not seek help, they think they are actually responsible fathers. As far as I’m concerned, these “so called” fathers that emotionally, sexually, physically and verbally abuse their children should never have a role in their children lives. ...
These examples confirm that some fathers should not be in the picture. ... It is obvious to me that abusive fathers should not exist in the lives of their children.
