People wanting to live a moral life have certain guidelines that are very useful. These guidelines are sometimes referred to as the Laws of Life. An important law, that I have found to be very true, states: “to have a friend, be a friend.” I have encountered this law in action in my life many a time. One time is more prevalent than any other, and it really sticks out in my mind. A girl that attends my church and I were very close friends, and I was very good friends with her boyfriend as well. We would do everything together before they started going out, like go to movies, church events, and just teenager things. We hung out together all the time. Then I saw that they started to get interested in one another and the girl wanted advice, because she already had a boyfriend. She consulted with me and I gave her as much advice as I could, considering I had not had a girlfriend for a very long time.
