While learning about ancient Egypt and Greece, I’ve found that their religions are somewhat similar. One major similarity is that religion was very important to both ancient civilizations. Yet, they do have many differences as well, for example: ancient Egyptians worshiped gods who were in the form of a statue and ancient Greeks worshiped “actual” gods (Ancient Greek Beliefs of Religion). Ancient Greeks believed that death was caused by human error and they believed in the underworld, while Egyptians believed that god picked the person who died as a sacrifice (Ancient Greek Beliefs of Religion). Through the information that I’ve collected and absorbed, I have put together the differences and the similarities within each ancient religion.

Some were worshiped through out the whole country, while others were worshiped in small cities (Ancient Egyptian Religion). Their resistance towards change strongly influenced their religion. For them religion guided every aspect of life. ...
In the Egyptian religion it was not uncommon for their gods to be combined together to form a new god or goddess. ... The Egyptians held the following animals holy, the bull, the cat and the crocodile (Ancient Egyptian Religion).
