Steroids in Baseball
Testing professional baseball players for steroids would be an excellent idea. Athletes that take steroids have an unfair advantage over athletes that do not. Testing pro baseball players would also be safer, and would keep the athletes healthier. Testing pro baseball players would eliminate unwanted rumors about a player’s strength or ability. Professional baseball players should be tested for steroids.
Steroids increase strength and performance. By taking steroids, it gives athletes an unfair advantage over the athletes that do not take steroids. Many records have been broken this season, and many were almost definitely broken by athletes that are taking steroids, yet there is no way of knowing this for a fact. It is very obvious that if a batter were to face a pitcher who was on steroids, he would have a harder time. If a pitcher not on steroids was to face a batter that was, the possibilities are almost endless as to what that batter might be capable of.
