The way one sees the world and the ways of the people that inhabit it are based solely on perspective. To us, speaking as Modern Americans, the ways of a society such as Ancient Roman would be considered extremely vulgar and without grace. But that is simply our view of the lives they lived, day by day, much like the we live our lives. They played games, and held tournaments. They built property and owned it, they farmed and paved roads. Although the differences can be infamous, the similarities must be respected. The year was 80 AD, and it was the opening of the Coliseum.
