	Twelve months ago it was...Out Of The Silent Planet" is the first book of the trilogy so we are introduced to Ransom, the main character. He is on holiday so to speak... taking a walking tour of the English countryside when he comes upon an old schoolmate named Devine (not particularly a liked one at all, but politeness calls for them to be hospitable to one another) who is staying with the obscure, gruff scientist Weston. Ransom soon finds himself drugged and taken hostage into a spaceship to a planet his captors are not willing to name, and for what purpose he doesn't know though there are vague ideas of the aliens asking for him with hostile intentions. When they land he promptly runs away and soon finds himself alone on a strange though beautiful planet. Approximate Word count = 516 Approximate Pages = 2.1 (250 words per page double spaced)
