Killing in the Name As a child, in the early part of the 90s, I could vaguely remember watching the numerous amount of media attention that was presented after the outcome of the Rodney King vs. the Los Angles Police Department trial brought forth to America’s households. The constant display of outrage and violence that was aired on national television was basically imbedded into my head as a child. Every channel you turned to was either showing a riot or someone being beaten on the side of the street just because of the color of their skin. I didn’t understand. I didn’t know what to make of all this anger and hatred that these people had towards one another. As I grew older I found out why. Through out my years in school and experiences with other races besides my own I grew to understand why these people acted the way they did.
