When the Arabs rebelled against the Turkish empire, Lawrence was send to Mecca and became the British liaison officer to the Arabs. Lawrence of Arabia was a man who had to make a big choice between his country and his new friends the Arabs, when Lawrence found out that the British were not going to give the Arabs any land that they were promised, Lawrence did not know if he should tell the Arabs or listen to his country and keep quit about it. Lawrence may have been dishonest but he was still a hero for these reasons, Lawrence went to the British government and talked about giving the Arabs some land, also Lawrence tried to get the Arabs to fight as hard as they can to win so that the British might change their minds and give land to the Arabs, and Lawrence still tried to get Arab nation after the war was over.
