Their arent much accounts of Davy Crocketts childhood. Davy Crockett
son to a father who fought in the rev. war, was 1 of 9 children born to John and
Rebecca Hawkins Crockett. When davy was a kid his grandparents were killed by indians
, he shot a man instead of a deer, he was hired to a dutchman, but escapes from him
in a snowstorm, brothers close death from drowning, and his uncle hurt and
another captured from indians. As you can see Davy had many interesting
yet dangerous experiences when he was a kid. Davy was born not far from
Limestone, Tennessee on the Nolichucky river.

When Davy Crockett was young it was imperative for him to hunt for food
therefore he was skilled at hunting and used it to fight for Texas Independence
at the battle of the Alamo. While Davy was still dressed in infant clothes
his father built a mill and partnered up with Thomas Galbreath. When Davy was eight
the mill was washed away along with his home.
