Biological hot spots in the main focus of this article. Scientists have encountered these nurseries since August of 2000. But never before gave scientists discovered the unique nursery, located in a deep-sea ridge right off the coast of Northern California. It is also the first time that two different types of mobile deep-sea animals have been observed brooding their eggs together.
