... The Constitution Party is one of the many political parties in the United States. Jim Clymer is the national chairman of the Constitution Party. The party¡¯s slogan is ¡°Fighting for the Future of America¡±.
The Constitution Party, formerly was named Taxpayers Party, was formed in 1992 of a coalition of Independent State Parties. In 1995, the Party became the fifth political party to be formally recognized by the Federal Election Commission as a national political party. In 1999, convention delegates chose to change the party name to "Constitution Party". Also in 1999, Howard Phillips was elected to be the party¡¯s presidential nominee for the 2000 elections at its national nominating convention for the 2000 election.
