BIN CHEN Fujian College Accounting Department Fuj Beginning on the May 2003 Professional Program Application students will be required to have a SAT/ACT score on the student information system. This new requirement will provide additional information to the departments reviewing applications and allow the W. P. Carey School of Business to benchmark against top programs. For the May 2003 application, students can submit this information in three ways: 1. Students must have SAT or ACT scores on record in admissions OR 2. Students must hand carry scores--and request official scores sent by SAT or ACT OR 3. Students must show proof of registration for one of the tests. If they use this option, and if admitted, it will be on a conditional basis and official scores must be received by August 12. ACT The test covers four skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science reasoning. http://www.act.org/ National average score: 20.8 out of a possible 36 Upcoming Dates: April 12, 2003 June 14, 2003 Registration Deadline: March 7 Registration Deadline: May 9, 2003 Cost: $25 Scores are mailed within 4 7 weeks. Rush delivery of scores is available for an additional charge. ACT sends ASU Admissions a copy of all students scores, who requested scores to be sent to ASU, on a monthly basis. ACT/SAT FAQ Sheet Who is required to submit scores for SAT/ACT for the Professional Program? Students applying to the Professional Program need to submit SAT or ACT scores. This includes non-traditional, international, transfer students, and second-degree seeking students. There are 2 exceptions to this: 1. Deans Direct (Direct Admit) students who have maintained their direct admit status. Questions about Direct Admit can be routed to Lori Brown. These students will not have to submit scores, but if they do have them will be encouraged to submit if available.
