Hope paper #4 It does not take a genius to know that Cedric Jennings has been through a lot in his life thus-far. He has faced many challenges, and dangerous situations in his life, and he has worked his way through them as if he was born with a homing device for success. Whenever Cedric is faced with a problem he uses strategies much like those learned in this course to deal with them. One of the first problems that Cedric Jennings had to deal with upon reaching Brown University was with his roommate. Rob Burton, Cedric’s roommate, could not have been more of an opposite of Cedric. While Cedric spent his childhood living in the city, hearing gunshots regularly and having virtually no money, Rob spent his childhood in a wealthy sub-urban town with almost nothing to worry about. It is not hard to understand that when you have two people with such different backgrounds being forced to live in a confined space together, that there was going to be some tension. For a short period they seemed to be getting along just fine, but then subtly small problems started to occur.
