Monika Faeustle Reflective Paper I was impressed with this moving story of " an old man, a young man, and life's greatest lesson". It was a touching story of a warm loving man who tried to share his love and wisdom with the world and with Mitch Albom in particular. The story is about life. The "real" things that make life all that it is such as love, giving, patience, caring, family and friends. Morrie valued and appreciated the little things in life, like a sunset or a friendly hello. He reminds us that all the money, fame, and things you accumulate don't bring true happiness and fulfillment in life. Morrie seemed like such a genuine person. He had a zest and excitement for life. He was true, honest, and kind. He just wanted to teach people to love each other and not be so hard on one another. He seemed to do his part to make the world a better place by educating those around him about humanity. Mitch seemed to be somewhat of a lost soul. I got the sense he was looking for some direction and meaning in life. It seemed as though life had begun to wear him down. He was becoming some what disillusioned with life, then he reunited with Morrie. I feel both of these main characters in this book were experiencing normal stages of life's evolutions.
