I think it is important to think back to a parable that Jesus told us, that of “The Good Samaritan,” which is very relevant to the topic of the refugees. ... Although I do believe it is necessary to detain the refugees for a certain period, to determine whether they are carrying any diseases and so forth, you need only look at the actions in the past few months, with people digging their graves and sewing their lips together, to realize that the conditions must be appalling.
