A winter night scene.
The loveliest of all creations of nature in my opinion is the sight of the sky during the night time. It was a cold and breezy night, a perfect time to spend some time in solitude, next to the fireplace, tucked in a warm and cozy blanket while reading an exciting novel. ... With the wind chill increasing each day as we moved deeper in to winter, so did the amount of clothing on each person. I can clearly recall that wonderful night, the boundless, stellar-clad sky, quite reminiscent of the glorious painting, which was mapped on to a canvas from inside a jail by the famous Dutch art maestro, Vincent Van Gough, very appropriately titled: “A Starry Night. ... However, as I scrapped some ice off the fencing that surrounded the lake, I realized how fortunate I am, to be able to feel the cold, glossy ice, to smell the mouth-watering aroma of apple pies being prepared on that cold winter night, to see and experience the true beauty of nature while the rest of the world, the world as I could see through my eyes, rest asleep inside their warm and comely homes.
