This course is a continuation of Persian I (Introduction to Persian Language & Literature). The main object of this course is to provide the students with a wider and deeper knowledge of Persian language and Literature. A special stress will be laid on Classical and Modern Persian. Moreover, Persian Literature of the Sub-continent Indo-Pakistan will be emphasized in this course. At the end of the course, the students will
be competent enough to acquire, not only a sufficient knowledge of the gradual development of Persian Literature of the Sub-continent from the earliest times up-to Allama Iqbal ( the greatest poet philosopher of contemporary Persian world ) but they,
to a large extent, will be able to understand, read, write, speak Persian and follow the contents of Gulistan of Sheikh Sa’di-e-Shirazi and Persian works of thinker of Pakistan and Islamic world, as well.
