Major threat to Red-tailed Black Cockatoos

High in the jarrah forests of southern Western Australia, a seemingly unstoppable, one-sided war is taking place between the native birds and swarms of feral bees, but two men have come up with the answer. Red tailed black cockatoos are already one of the rarest and most endangered birds in Western Australia, and with swarms of feral European honeybees invading tree hollows, the test of survival is becoming harder. The bees have been living in Australia for over 180 years, and it has so far been a mystery why they have chosen now to attack.
