Sociology

Sociology Over the course of my life there have been many different things that have helped shape me into the way I am today. From my family early on in life, to watching cartoons every Saturday morning, to playing basketball at the park with my friends they have all had an impact in my life and shaping my personality. In this paper I will relate many of the concepts discussed in class to my everyday life and how I was brought up in this world. At the time that I was first born without even knowing it my personality was beginning to take shape. The people who had the biggest affect on my social interaction development were my parents. I say this because they are the first people to show you how do to almost every basic thing in your everyday life so you spend a lot of time with them. The way that they treated and acted around others was going to influence me greatly on how I acted around others. My parents also taught me about feeling good about myself and to be self-aware. This is to take care of myself and treat others good because there is always someone watching. They also told me to have a good self-image, which is; to think I am smart, good looking, and so-on, and to not let people bring me down in life. That is how they molded the self-concept into my mind. The values that my parents taught me will stay with me for the rest of my life.
