Lesson Plan Date: 07/17/03 Science SOL 6.8 Goal/Objectives: The students will be able to: - identify & label all planets of the solar system - create a visual of the solar system - make a group booklet of one of the planets in the solar system and give an oral report on their findings Procedure/Strategies: The teacher will: - discuss motions of the Earth, moon, and sun - discuss the solar system and the relationship of the planets; how close they are to the sun and how it affects climate - put the students in groups of 2 to 3 and assign a planet to research.
