Political parties are an ongoing conflict in today’s American political system. 200 years ago political parties did not exist in early American Republic. ... They believed that political parties would eventually lead to a fragile nation unity, a weak support for the new Constitution, and it would split the new nation. Although these leaders of this new nation tried to avoid political parties they began to form nonetheless. These political parties shaped and formed the political parties we have to this day in our nation.
The Republican Party is one type of political parties that formed from the old political party the federalists. ... Not all Federalists had such strong views toward their political parties. ... Washington opposed political parties because he saw them as a threat for violence among people and the government. The Federalist Party was not the only party to develop through out the course of the American political system.
