Many, many years ago there were wild horses that roamed the African plains. Traveling in herds, these horses would try to out-run their predators, such as the lion and the native peoples. They had no way to out-smart the hunters; their only choice was to run. The leader of the herd was named Thunderbolt, and he was the fastest horse in the herd. The natives tried so hard to catch him, but were never successful. He was very smart, and he knew if the other horses in the herd could run as fast as him, and gained some kind of camouflage; then less would get attacked. So the wise thunderbolt thought to ask the old baboon, Rafiki, for some advice on how to gain these magical powers. When he finally got to Rafiki’s magical tree house, he asked Rafiki for help.
